Our Bridges Trip by Kaleem
On Thursday 12th of June 2008 year 6 went to see the London bridge and lots of other types of bridges. They encountered many kinds of bridges such as the London bridge. This bridge is made of metal and it’s a beam bridge. It’s quite strong and very useful, the kind of things that use this bridge are (E.G. pedestrians, cars, buses and cabs!)We also went to the cathedral and the Golden Hinde which sir Francis Drake who had got knighted by the queen had sailed all around the world, it was very exciting. After we had seen most of the bridges such as The Golden Jubilee Bridge
We went in to the cafĂ© which was quite near to the London eye, we ate our food then we set off to the London eye. On the way to the London eye we saw break dancers and jugglers it was all thrilling!! As soon as we reached the London eye we was split into 2 groups group A and group B. Firstly group A got to go on the London eye but when we got to the reception we had to get searched then after that because we paid for a guide and there was no guide we had to wait outside in the rain! Then finally we got on the London eye without a guide and we had a….
GREAT TIME!

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING AN ANGLE JOINT - by Aamir and Anisur
This piece of text is going to explain to you , how to make a butt joint. It will provide vivid explanations of what you have to do ,giving no reason to make a fault.
Equipment:
A piece of paper Bolts
Nuts Corroflute
Wood Scissor
Saw Safety goggles
Preferably safety gloves
Instructions:
No.1: Get hold of two pieces of 1X20cm wood.
No2: Join the two pieces of wood together making a 90 degree angle. Don’t forget to make sure that the pieces of wood join at the edges.
No3: place a piece of paper over the right angle joint .
No4: Draw a line to indicate the size of the corroflute.
No5: Put dots on the corroflute of where you want to put the holes.
No6: Use the screwdriver to make the holes in the corroflute.
No7: Align the corroflute with the 90 degree joint as such :
No8: make dots on the wood with a pen/pencil.
No9: Use the holes to make the dots on the wood.
No10: Use the drill to screw through the holes in the wood.
No11: Once that is complete screw some nuts into the holes to fix the corroflute in place.
No12: Then fix the screws in place by tightening it with bolts.
